We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic People & Culture Trainee to join our growing People & Culture team. This hands-on traineeship provides practical experience across all aspects of the employee lifecycle while supporting you to develop the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in HR.

Working alongside experienced HR professionals, you’ll gain valuable exposure to recruitment, onboarding, employee records, workplace compliance, and a variety of People & Culture initiatives.

About the Role

• Assist with recruitment, including preparing job advertisements and coordinating interviews.
• Support the onboarding of new employees.
• Maintain confidential employee records and HR databases.
• Respond to general People & Culture enquiries.
• Provide administrative support across the employee lifecycle.
• Participate in interviews and recruitment activities.
• Assist with People & Culture projects and organisational initiatives.
• Learn about employment legislation, workplace relations and HR best practice.

Essential Criteria:

• Currently studying or recently completed Certificate IV or above in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Previous administration or office experience.

• Passionate about starting a career in Human Resources.
• Friendly, professional and eager to learn.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• A confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
• Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Committed to continuous learning and professional development.
• Has an understanding of, and commitment to, Aboriginal communities and culturally safe practice.

Employment Requirements

Successful applicants will be required to provide:

• Currently studying or recently completed a Certificate IV or above in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
• Confirmation of Aboriginality

• Current Working with Children Check.
• National Police Check.
• Current NSW Driver Licence.
