We deliver a range of clinical and community programs across Western Sydney, Nepean, and the Blue Mountains.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Team Leader – Clinical to lead our Penrith clinic and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, culturally responsive healthcare services to our community.

About the Role

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a motivated clinician who enjoys both clinical governance and operational leadership.

Reporting to the Executive Manager – Clinical, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and coordination of the Penrith clinic, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and culturally appropriate services. You will provide leadership to both clinical and administrative teams while overseeing quality improvement, accreditation, workforce management, and day-to-day clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all clinical services within the clinic
• Provide leadership and support to GPs, Nurses, Aboriginal Health Workers and visiting specialists
• Oversee clinical governance, risk management, infection control, and accreditation requirements
• Manage clinic operations, patient flow, reception and administrative functions
• Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives and service development
• Support workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and performance management
• Monitor clinical documentation, Medicare compliance, and reporting requirements
• Foster a collaborative, culturally safe, and high-performing team environment
• Build strong relationships with community members and external stakeholders.

Essential Criteria

• Registered or Enrolled Nurse with current AHPRA registration
• Minimum five (5) years post-graduate experience
• Demonstrated leadership and management experience within a health service environment
• Experience in clinical governance, accreditation, and quality improvement
• Strong knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health issues
• Exceptional communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage competing priorities
• Demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity when working with Aboriginal communities
• Current NSW Driver Licence
• Current Working with Children Check
• National Police Check
• Confirmation of Aboriginality

Desirable

• Previous experience in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS)
• Experience using Best Practice and Medicare billing systems
