The role:
The Indigenous Mentor is responsible for providing effective support, mentoring and intervention to Indigenous clients that enables them to successfully participate in education and employment. You will work with a number of key stakeholders to provide opportunities for Indigenous clients, taking into account their skills and abilities, as well as their community and cultural needs. In this position, you will also be required to provide on the job support to a youth participant, and assess and address the workplace support needs of each individual to ensure ongoing employment is maintained.
This role is integral to ensure sustainable outcomes for our Indigenous cohort, requiring a flexible, outcome focused individual who has a can-do attitude. You will also be able to interlink your Indigenous culture and awareness into your day to day functions. The role will be based across our Midland and Ellenbrook sites with focus on supporting our caseload all over Perth North.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate proven experience in engaging and meeting the needs of Indigenous Australians, whilst working towards specific KPI’s. You will also have the ability to engage clients at all levels and utilise your strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills is paramount.
