Program Facilitator (Casual)

About the Role

Impact Services is seeking an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Program Facilitator to support the delivery of employment, training and community-based programs across Western Australia.

This role is about creating positive opportunities for people to build confidence, develop practical skills, strengthen their work readiness and take meaningful steps towards employment and personal success.

Working alongside mentors, facilitators and program staff, you will create engaging learning environments, facilitate group activities, encourage participation and support individuals to achieve their goals. Through your cultural knowledge, lived experience and ability to connect with people, you will play an important role in helping participants build confidence, resilience and a stronger future.

This position is initially offered on a casual basis for approximately 9-10 weeks to support the delivery of a program in Midland. As Impact Services continues to deliver a range of employment, training and community programs across Western Australia, future opportunities for additional casual program delivery work may become available for successful facilitators. However, applicants should apply on the basis of the initial program period, as ongoing work beyond this program cannot be guaranteed.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Facilitate engaging workshops, group activities and structured program content
• Create a welcoming, inclusive and culturally safe environment where participants feel supported and encouraged to succeed
• Build positive relationships with participants and maintain engagement throughout program delivery
• Support participants to develop work readiness, employability, life skills and personal confidence
• Encourage participation, collaboration and positive group dynamics
• Monitor participant attendance, engagement and progression throughout programs
• Provide encouragement, guidance and practical support to help participants overcome challenges and achieve their goals
• Work collaboratively with mentors, facilitators and program staff to deliver high-quality participant outcomes
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas and feedback to strengthen program delivery.

About You

You are passionate about supporting people to achieve positive outcomes and understand the importance of creating culturally safe and engaging learning environments.

You will bring:

• Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage (Section 50(d)).
• Experience facilitating groups, workshops, training sessions, community programs or similar activities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build trust and meaningful relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
• Confidence managing group dynamics and maintaining participant engagement
• A positive, supportive and strengths-based approach
• The ability to adapt your communication style to meet the needs of different participants
• A genuine passion for helping individuals build confidence, skills and employment pathways

Experience in employment services, community services, youth work, training, education, mentoring or related fields will be highly regarded. We also welcome applicants with strong community connections, lived experience and a desire to make a positive difference.

Essential Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must hold or be willing to obtain:

• National Police Clearance (issued within the last three months)
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Working with Children Check.
