Ramahyuck District Aboriginal Corporation (RDAC) was established as an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation in 1992 to improve the social, health and economic outcomes for Aboriginal people. RDAC is a leading provider of primary health care and related social and family support services to Aboriginal people and communities across Wellington Shire, Latrobe Valley & Baw Baw Shire regions.
About the role

The Elder Care Co-ordinator plays a key role in supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders to access culturally safe, holistic, and coordinated health and social services. The position strengthens relationships with Elders, families, health professionals, and community organisations to ensure Elders receive the care, respect, and support they deserve, enabling them to live with dignity, independence, and wellbeing. Underpinning the role are two key work practices: cultural safety and trauma informed practice. The ECS Coordinator will work closely with the Aged Care Connector to support identified clients in a holistic and culturally safe way, to ensure Elders remain supported, respected, and connected to culture and community.
