We’ve partnered with Homes NSW to recruit Aboriginal Client Service Officers and Senior Client Service Officer (Specialist) professionals to join their Housing Services teams. Homes NSW is the NSW Government division which leads the delivery of public housing across NSW.

We’re seeking candidates across a range of experience levels, from entry-level through to those experienced in tenancy, housing and complex needs support.

About the opportunity

Depending on your experience, opportunities include:

  • Aboriginal Client Service Officers
  • Aboriginal Senior Client Service Officers (Specialist)

The CSOs and SCSOs play a vital role in delivering person-centred, trauma-informed services, including:

Across both roles, you’ll play a key part in supporting clients and communities through:

  • Providing advice and guidance on housing options and tenancy matters
  • Managing and sustaining public housing tenancies
  • Supporting clients with complex support needs
  • Coordinating referrals and working with external service providers
  • Resolving tenancy issues, neighbourhood concerns and wellbeing matters
  • Strengthening community outcomes and participation
  • Maintaining accurate client records and housing systems

In Senior / Specialist roles, you will also:

  • Coordinate case management plans and broker services for complex clients
  • Provide cultural guidance and specialist support to teams
  • Build strong partnerships with Aboriginal communities and organisations
  • Mentor and support Client Service Officers

About You

You are someone who:

  • Has strong cultural capability and connection to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities
  • Is passionate about supporting people and strengthening communities
  • Builds trust easily and communicates with empathy and respect
  • Can manage complex situations with professionalism and sound judgement
  • Thrives working collaboratively in fast-paced, community-focused environments

For Senior / Specialist roles, you’ll also bring:

  • Experience managing complex cases
  • Confidence mentoring and supporting others
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills

Essential Requirements

  • Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (Identified role)
  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to obtain relevant checks (WWCC, National Criminal History Check)
