Downer is seeking a Social Inclusion & Indigenous Engagement Manager to lead and influence initiatives that strengthen our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) commitments, uplift social responsibility outcomes, and embed inclusion and belonging across our Transport & Infrastructure business.
From contributing to major bids and tenders, to supporting cultural change programs, to strengthening partnerships with Elders and community leaders - your work will directly influence how we show up as a responsible, community‑minded organisation.
What you’ll be doing
Working closely with Indigenous organisations, community partners and internal teams to deliver projects that strengthen our social impact.
Develop, deliver, and influence programs that support RAP commitments, workforce diversification and inclusive practices.
Provide strategic guidance to leaders, governance groups, program champions, and business stakeholders.
Leading and coordinating events, programs, sponsorships and partnerships.
Creating content, stories and communications that bring our programs to life.
Providing insights, data and reporting that help us demonstrate real outcomes.
Playing a key role in bids and tenders by showcasing our social value commitments.
What you’ll bring
Experience in social inclusion, Indigenous engagement, community development, or similar.
Strong relationship‑building skills and cultural awareness.
Great communication skills — written, verbal, storytelling.
The ability to juggle projects, think creatively, and collaborate across teams.
A genuine passion for equity, inclusion and community impact.
