- Plan, organize, and lead daily recreational activities (e.g., arts and crafts, sports, outdoor games, team-building exercises).
- Adapt activities to meet the interests, skill levels, and needs of campers.
- Ensure activities are safe, engaging, and aligned with camp goals.
- Foster teamwork and encourage positive participation during group activities.
- Supervise and monitor campers throughout the day, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Maintain a constant presence in assigned activity areas, ensuring campers stay within designated boundaries.
- Respond to camper needs and behaviors in a calm, supportive manner.
- Act as a role model by maintaining appropriate conduct and setting a positive example for campers.
- Ensure campers are properly hydrated, fed, and dressed for outdoor activities.
- Promote and exemplify the camp’s core values (e.g., respect, responsibility, teamwork, kindness).
- Attend pre-camp training sessions to understand camp policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Assist in preparing camp facilities and activity areas.
- Communicate effectively with staff and camp leadership about camper progress and issues.
- Document and report any incidents or concerns regarding campers’ well-being.
- Participate in camp-wide events, ceremonies, and other special activities.
- Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude to inspire campers and fellow staff.
