The Opportunity
The Division of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Indigenous Leadership plays a leading role in advancing Indigenous excellence, truth‑telling, cultural safety, and meaningful engagement across Western Sydney University. This role is central to that mission, with a primary focus on supporting the full life cycle of The Yarning Circle publication, from planning and content development through to production, release, and post‑publication engagement.
As the Project Support Officer, you will build and maintain relationships across multiple University teams to source rich, diverse content for The Yarning Circle, ensuring the publication reflects the breadth of Indigenous experiences and achievements. Your collaborative approach will help ensure authentic representation and wide participation from students, staff, and community contributors.
You will also assist in shaping the University’s external image by contributing to media strategies, identifying opportunities, and crafting high‑quality content that highlights Indigenous leadership and success.
Working as part of a collaborative team, you will support the development of media and digital communications, and help elevate Indigenous storytelling across multiple platforms, anchored by your ongoing stewardship of The Yarning Circle publication.
