Program Coordinator, Great Lakes Native American Research Center for Health (NARCH)
Position Summary
The Great Lakes NARCH Program Coordinator will split efforts to support student career enhancement and research capacity building activities of the Great Lakes Native American Research Center for Health (NARCH) program. The Program Coordinator will: actively recruit and encourage the educational and career development of indigenous students in health-related and research careers; serve as a vital link to support and coordinate collaboration between Great Lakes NARCH staff, Tribal Colleges/Universities and other academic partners, students, and Tribal community members/organizations to build infrastructure and research capacity. Daily attendance is a requirement of this position. Five years' experience working with Tribal communities is required.

· Managing social media platforms for recruitment and communication purposes and gathering engagement data reports from those platforms. Coordinate, maintain and distribute quarterly program newsletter.
· Assures all services are delivered in a culturally appropriate manner.
· Participate in various committees both within and external to the organization as deemed necessary and appropriate to the position.
· Attend technical conferences, seminars, workshops and other educational events to remain current on technological and informational advances.
· Perform other duties as necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
Working Relationships and Scope:
Reports directly to the Program Director. Regular contact with Great Lakes NARCH staff, other GLITC Programs & department employees, tribal departments and employees for the purpose of obtaining and providing information. Regular contact with community members, tribal representatives, funding source staff, allied organizations, consortia, vendors, and suppliers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
An equivalent combination of experience and education that would provide the required knowledge and abilities will be considered. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, or related field. Required: 6-10 years of experience working in human services, program management or similar field. Must be able to maintain high level of organizational skills to manage multi-faceted program activities; excellent time management; excellent ability to communicate responsively and effectively with diverse age and racial groups. Daily attendance is required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and other common software.
Individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; high level of professionalism; advanced reasoning and problem-solving skills; ability to manage time effectively; self-motivation skills; ability to work effectively under pressure; mathematical and budgeting skills. Must possess a valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation with adequate insurance and ability to travel.
This is a full-time exempt position based on skills and experience, with a pay range of $61,000 - $64,000 annually, depending on years of experience, relevant experience and education. This position is in our Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin office. This position is not a remote position.
