  • Based in The Rocks, Sydney

About the role

As Product Manager, Aboriginal Experiences, you’ll play a key role in shaping how visitors experience Aboriginal culture and Country across NSW.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact — supporting Aboriginal tourism operators, strengthening cultural capability, and ensuring that Aboriginal culture is respectfully represented and celebrated through Destination NSW’s programs.

You’ll be a trusted partner and advocate, working with Aboriginal communities, the NSW Aboriginal Tour Operator Council, and industry stakeholders to grow authentic, sustainable Aboriginal tourism experiences across the state.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and deliver initiatives that grow Aboriginal cultural tourism across NSW, guided by data, insights, and cultural understanding.
  • Support and empower Aboriginal operators to develop, promote and sell exceptional, authentic visitor experiences.
  • Advocate for the inclusion of Aboriginal experiences across Destination NSW strategies, programs, and marketing.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with Aboriginal communities and industry partners to support growth and sustainability in the sector.

About you

You’re a collaborative, motivated professional with a passion for Aboriginal culture, tourism, and storytelling. You’re equally comfortable building relationships, managing projects, and turning great ideas into tangible results.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Experience in tourism or visitor experience development and distribution channels.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal cultural tourism, with experience working alongside Aboriginal stakeholders and communities.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to juggle multiple projects and deliver outcomes in a dynamic environment.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Tourism, or a related discipline.
