Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and providing excellent customer service. The Medical Receptionist will be the first point of contact for patients and will play a critical role in ensuring a positive patient experience.

Qualifications:
- Qualifications in a health or care-related field or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated experience in a health or care sector role working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems
- Understanding of Indigenous cultural and workplace safety principles and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Capabilities:
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with the community.
- Ability to work autonomously with high initiative and problem-solving skills
