Job Description
Create your best future and join Westpac as a Lead Business Analyst.
This role will play a crucial part of the UNITE team. UNITE is our business-led, tech-enabled transformation, and a key priority for the Group. UNITE is about delivering 'one best way' to make our processes, systems and tech simpler so we can deliver a better experience for our customers and make things easier for our people.
What’s the role?
This role is part of our Mob Way program, a culturally grounded pathway unlocking senior opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders.
As a Lead Business Analyst, you will lead business and data analysis activities across strategic initiatives, driving high‑quality, scalable, and compliant solutions. Acting as a bridge between business and technology, you will ensure requirements are clearly defined, solutions align to business objectives, and delivery outcomes meet enterprise standards. You will provide strong leadership across initiatives while promoting consistent analysis practices and supporting effective execution.
Additionally, you'll mentor senior and junior business analysts, conduct peer reviews of analysis artefacts, and define best‑practice frameworks to ensure quality and consistency. You will partner closely with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to shape solution design, translate requirements into user stories, process flows, and data mappings, and validate solutions to ensure they are fit for purpose.
You will engage stakeholders across business and technology, support data analysis, migration, and governance initiatives, and contribute to delivery, risk, regulatory, and governance reporting within Agile or hybrid environments
Through Mob Way, you will be supported to grow your career while staying connected to culture. This includes strong executive connection, opportunities to build your networks, and dedicated time for in‑community experiences and elder‑led cultural immersion.
What do I need?
