Classification 12, $29.26 – 30.17 per hour, as per the BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Temporary employees are provided an additional $0.58 on regular earnings in lieu of benefits, and 6% vacation pay, for all regular hours worked. The period between Christmas and New Year's Day is unpaid time off. |

Northern Lights College's Recruitment team is looking to hire a student-centered individual who has an extensive understanding of Indigenous student experiences and educational challenges that would be able to promote leadership and mentorship to the Indigenous student body through promotion of opportunities. The Indigenous Student Recruiter will be the primary recruitment staff member supporting Indigenous communities, events and activities; inspiring and motivating prospective Indigenous students to become qualified and enrolled in Northern Lights College. As the successful candidate, you will promote the College's programs and services through a variety of platforms including face-to-face or virtual appointments, school visits, campus tours, college and community events, Indigenous community visits, Indigenous-focused workshops, and digital communication tactics. Working closely with the Manager of Student Recruitment and the Director of Indigenous Education, you will support, plan, and implement various internal and external recruitment activities. This role will work alongside the Indigenous Student Navigators to help identify barriers, assist applicants and facilitate connections within the College; as well as with appropriate external community service providers when required. *** Please note: The location of this position will be determined in conversation with the successful candidate. We are willing to entertain the possibility of a summer student for the work up to the end of August; with an overlap of a secondary hire to be in place until December 24.26 |
