Indigenous Identied Trade Assistant

Indigenous Managed Services is seeking experienced Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Trade Assistants to join our growing talent pool for upcoming DIDO and Perth-based opportunities across the mining, maintenance, construction and industrial sectors.
This role offers varied trade support, working alongside skilled tradespeople on maintenance, projects and fixed plant operations. No two days are the same, making it an excellent opportunity for Trade Assistants with a strong work ethic and a willingness to take on a variety of tasks.
This is an identified position. Applicants must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide trade support across maintenance, shutdown and construction projects.
• Assist Mechanical Fitters, Boilermakers and other trades as required.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Prepare work areas, equipment and materials.
• Operate forklifts and assist with loading, unloading and materials handling.
• Perform general labouring and manual handling tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.
• Follow site safety procedures, permits and company policies.

About You
To be successful, you will have:

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Trade Assistant within mining, construction, maintenance or heavy industry.
• Experience providing varied trade support in industrial environments.
• Current C Class Driver's Licence.
• Current White Card.
• Current Working at Heights certification.
• Current Forklift (LF) Licence.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen.
• Full Australian working rights.
