Mi'kmaq-Wolastoqey Centre/Experiential Education
The Mi'kmaq-Wolastoqey Centre (MWC) is located on traditional Wolastoqiyik at the University of New Brunswick and provides a learning environment for indigenous students to develop a strong cultural foundation as well as academic and professional skills.
UNB Experiential Education serves as the central hub for advancing experiential learning across the University of New Brunswick. Its mission is to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences, ensuring students develop practical skills, knowledge, and values that prepare them for success beyond graduation.
WHAT WE OFFER
Full-time | 1-year Term (Leave Replacement)| Fredericton | On-Campus
Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri | 8:15 am - 4:30 pm | 36.25 hours per week
Additional Working Conditions:
Salary Range: $52,048 - $68,659 per annum
Preference will be given to an Indigenous person with strong cultural knowledge and relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations in New Brunswick.
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to Nikanahtpat (Director) of the Mi'kmaq-Wolastoqey Centre and the Director of Experiential Education, the Indigenous Experiential Education Coordinator will help support UNB's Indigenous experiential education programs through community and student outreach, funding allocation, program development, and administrative coordination.
