    Job Title: Girls Flag Football Coach - Volunteer
    Reports To:  Athletic Director
    Location: Kirtland High School
    Employment Status: Seasonal/Part-Time
    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

    Job Objective:

    Lead, organize, and developing the girls high school flag football football program in alignment with the district's educational and athletic mission. Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and academic achievement while supporting the physical and personal development of student-athletes.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    • Support the implementation of practice plans, conditioning, and skill development drills.
    • Assist in the instruction of offensive, defensive, and special teams strategies as assigned.
    • Monitor academic progress and support student-athletes in maintaining eligibility.
    • Uphold and enforce team rules, school policies, and OHSAA regulations.
    • Maintain positive relationships with players, parents, staff, and community members.
    • Assist with game preparation, scouting, film analysis, and equipment management.
    • Attend team meetings, practices, scrimmages, and games as required.
    • Promote character development, leadership, and discipline among student-athletes.
    • Foster a safe and respectful environment on and off the field.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid Ohio Department of Education Pupil Activity Permit.
    • Completion of required coaching certifications (CPR, First Aid, Concussion Training, etc.).
    • Previous coaching and/or playing experience preferred.
    • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

    Working Conditions:

    • Evening and weekend work required.
    • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and athletic environments.
    • Physical activity including standing, walking, lifting, and demonstrating techniques.
