About the role

DT Infrastructure, as part of the TasVic Greenlink joint venture with Samsung C&T Corporation Australia, has been awarded the contract to deliver the Balance of Works package for Marinus Link Stage 1.

With a strong pipeline of work in renewable energy projects, we are seeking a high-calibre First Nations Advisor based in Leongatha to join us on this once-in-a-generation project. You will work collaboratively with the project delivery team, responsible for assisting in the implementation of the Indigenous Participation Plan, as well as supporting subcontractors and suppliers in meeting cultural engagement, employment, and procurement obligations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the project’s Indigenous Participation Plan and First Nations Engagement Strategy.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with local Traditional Owners, Aboriginal community organisations, and project stakeholders.
• Provide cultural advice to support respectful, inclusive decision-making across the project.
• Identify and drive opportunities for First Nations employment, training, procurement, and engagement.
• Partner with the Stakeholder, Social Licence, and Social Impact teams to ensure consistent engagement.
• Support the delivery of cultural awareness training programs for staff and subcontractors.
• Coordinate cultural protocols, including Welcome to Country and Acknowledgement of Country ceremonies.
• Track, report on, and support compliance with First Nations engagement commitments and cultural heritage legislation.

Experience and capabilities:

• Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity with deep knowledge of cultures, histories, and protocols.
• 2+ years’ community engagement experience, preferably in infrastructure, government, or social impact.
• Certificate IV in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven ability to work with First Nations communities and navigate complex relationships.
• Experience supporting cultural inclusion, reconciliation initiatives, and cultural heritage compliance.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and listening skills to effectively guide stakeholders.
