Employment Consultant (First Nations Identified role)

At Employment Plus, you'll help people build confidence, overcome barriers, and achieve sustainable employment outcomes. Based at our St Marys site, you'll support participants across the local community as they prepare for and secure meaningful work.
 

What you'll be doing

This is a rewarding, fast-paced role where you'll work closely with participants to achieve employment outcomes, supported by clear systems, training and a collaborative team.

• Manage a high-volume caseload of job seekers
• Engage and motivate participants to achieve sustainable employment outcomes
• Reverse market suitable candidates to employers
• Identify and address barriers to employment
• Build participants' confidence, skills and job readiness
• Use strong problem-solving skills to achieve positive outcomes
   

About you

You enjoy working with people and making a positive impact. You may be:

• An experienced Employment Consultant looking to join a values-driven organisation
• Someone with experience in customer service, HR, community services, education or another people-focused role, ready for a meaningful career change
   

To be eligible for this identified position, applicants must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, and be accepted by their community as such.
 

If you're organised, resilient, a strong communicator and able to build rapport quickly, you'll thrive in this role. A current driver's licence and access to a vehicle are required as travel between sites may be necessary.
