Expression of Interest: Indigenous Coaches for Seabird Island

Invitation to Join the Seabird Island Coaching Roster


Seabird Island is seeking expressions of interest from qualified Indigenous coaches to join our roster of professionals who will provide holistic coaching services to our staff and Council members. We are committed to fostering a supportive environment that encourages personal and professional growth, well-being, and leadership development.


Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must self-identify as Indigenous (First Nation, Metis or Inuit).
  • Coaches must hold formal training and certification as a coach. This may include, but is not limited to:
    • Professional Coaching
    • Leadership Coaching
    • Executive Coaching
    • Life Coaching

Demonstrated experience working with Indigenous communities and an understanding of holistic approaches to coaching are essential.


Scope of Services

  • Coaching sessions are to be holistic, addressing the mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical aspects of each individual.
  • Services must be available during the standard work week (Monday to Friday).
  • All sessions are to be scheduled as one-hour appointments.

Application Details

Seabird Island is establishing a roster of coaches who may be called upon to provide services to staff and Council as needs arise. If you are interested in being considered, please submit the following:

  • A brief cover letter outlining your coaching philosophy, approach, and experience with holistic Indigenous methodologies.
  • Proof of formal coach training and certification (please specify your certifying body and credentials).
  • A current résumé or curriculum vitae highlighting relevant experience.
  • At least two references who can attest to your coaching skills and experience (including contact information).
  • A description of your rates for coaching services (please specify if rates vary for different session types or group sizes).
