Temporary full-time up to 30 June 2027
Location: Parramatta
Clerk Grade 5/6 Salary ($102,936- $113,579pa), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
This position is open to Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people only.
Your role
The Assistant Aboriginal Project Officer undertakes a range of project and program delivery tasks including, reporting, administrative activities and scheduling to support the delivery of Leaving Footprints.

As an Identified role, this position is open only to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons, Australia’s First Nations people.
Where a position is identified, an applicant’s race is a genuine occupational qualification under the exception in Section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
There are two alternatives to confirming your Aboriginality, one of which must be uploaded to be considered for the role as follows. Either will be accepted:
Confirmation of Aboriginality form
or
Written confirmation from 2-3 Aboriginal organisations within the community in which you live/work, which addresses the three criteria listed below:

Leaving Footprints is a culturally informed program for Aboriginal men who have used family violence. Describe a time when you worked with people with complex needs or challenging behaviours. How did you communicate respectfully, maintain professional boundaries, adapt your approach to meet individual needs, and contribute to achieving positive outcomes while working collaboratively with others?
Describe a time when you supported the delivery of a project, program or service that required you to coordinate activities, maintain accurate records, collect and report data, and manage competing priorities. How did you ensure your work was accurate, completed within required timeframes, and aligned with organisational policies or program requirements? What did you do if you identified a risk, issue or change to the original plan?
