About the Opportunity
Are you looking to gain real work experience while you finish school?
Join the Department of Customer Service as a school based trainee in the Sustainability Team within the Governance, Risk & Assurance area.
As a trainee, you'll help the team with everyday tasks and learn valuable workplace skills. Some of the things you might do include:
- Checking and responding to emails and messages.
- Entering and updating information in reports and spreadsheets.
- Helping with sustainability and climate reporting.
- Creating content for presentations, workshops and social media posts.
- Working with programs such as Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
You'll be supported by experienced team members and have the chance to learn on the job by observing and assisting with a range of projects. This is a great opportunity to build your confidence, develop new skills, and learn more about sustainability, climate action and how government teams work.

These traineeships are funded through the Elsa Dixon Aboriginal Employment Grant, which supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to access employment and career development opportunities within the NSW Public Sector.
