About the Opportunity

Are you looking to gain real work experience while you finish school?

Join Rental Bonds NSW as a School-Based Trainee and get a head start on your future career! This is a great opportunity to learn new skills, work with a supportive team, and gain hands-on experience in a professional office environment while completing your studies.

As a trainee, you'll be supported every step of the way as you learn about customer service, administration and government services. You will:

  • Help answer customer enquiries and provide basic information and support.
  • Assist with emails, records, data entry and other administrative tasks.
  • Learn how Rental Bonds NSW helps people manage rental bond transactions.
  • Use workplace systems and Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Work alongside experienced team members and learn from their knowledge.
  • Attend team meetings and be part of a professional workplace.

We're looking for students who are:

  • Keen to learn and try new things
  • Interested in helping people and providing great customer service
  • Reliable, respectful and positive
  • Comfortable using technology or willing to build their digital skills
  • Able to work well with others and contribute to a team

No previous work experience is required.

You'll be supported every step of the way through:

Positions are available in:

  • Parramatta - Rental Branch, NSW Fair Trading, Department of Customer Service
  • Grafton - Rental Branch, NSW Fair Trading, Department of Customer Service

These traineeships are funded through the Elsa Dixon Aboriginal Employment Grant, which supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to access employment and career development opportunities within the NSW Public Sector.
