About the role

Lead Aboriginal consumer, community and staff engagement for the New Women’s and Children’s Hospital Project. Reporting to the Executive Director Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing, you will be working closely with project, design and clinical teams to embed cultural safety and ensure Aboriginal voices shape care, design and service delivery.

Key duties of the role

• Lead Aboriginal consultation and co-design processes
• Provide cultural advice to project and design teams
• Ensure culturally safe models of care and environments
• Identify and manage cultural risks and mitigation strategies
• Support project planning, communication and change management

Skills and Experience

• Extensive experience in project planning and stakeholder engagement
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills under broad direction
• Deep understanding of Aboriginal cultures, communities and health issues
• Proven ability to share cultural knowledge and build trusted relationships
• Skilled in problem-solving, negotiation and conflict resolution
