Be Recruitment is proud to partner with Sydney Region Aboriginal Corporation (SRAC) to recruit an Aboriginal Family Support Worker to join the organisation's newly established Family Preservation Program.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO), delivering practical, community-based support that strengthens families, builds confidence and helps keep children safely connected to their families, culture and community.

Please note: This is an Aboriginal Identified position. Applicants must identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.

About the Role
Working alongside Case Workers, you'll provide practical support to Aboriginal children, young people and families through home visits, community engagement and parenting support.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering practical, strengths-based family support
  • Facilitating parenting programs and community activities
  • Supporting families to build confidence, independence and life skills
  • Assisting with intake, referrals and client assessments
  • Building positive relationships with Aboriginal families and community partners
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and contributing to quality service delivery
About You
You'll bring experience in Family Support, Child & Family Services, Community Services, Early Intervention or a similar community-based role, along with:
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience supporting vulnerable children and families
  • The ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Qualifications in Community Services, Health, Social Work, Psychology, Early Childhood (or significant relevant experience)
