At Tourism Australia our purpose is to grow demand to enable and competitive and sustainable Australian tourism industry. We are passionate about sharing the stories of the Australian continent, especially the stories of our First Nations peoples, the world’s oldest living culture.


We understand it’s a privilege to be able to share the warmth, humour and generosity of First Nations peoples and cultures.

The Journey Ahead

Are you ready to help us tell the story of Australia? Our graduate program is more than just a job; it’s an immersive journey. You’ll rotate through different teams, learning our world from the ground up and gaining the kind of skills that will set you up for life—wherever your path leads next.


We are looking for First Nations graduates ready to dive into:

  • Marketing & Events: Bringing the Australian experience to life.
  • Communications & PR: Sharing the stories that move people.
  • Business & Strategy: Shaping the future through Technology, Finance, , Research, People & Culture or Government Relations.


Our graduate program offers:

  • 12-month full-time paid role with at least two rotational placements.
  • Flexible start date, working 37.5 hours per week with flexible work practices.
  • An extensive learning and development platform and performance program so you can grow your skills and talent.

  • Generous superannuation above the minimum requirement.
  • Collaborative work environment where you’ll directly engage with industry stakeholders.

If you’ve recently completed (or are due to complete in 2026) your studies in any of these fields and want to work in an environment that values Country and Community as much as you do, we want to hear from you.

Your application will demonstrate the following:

  • A cover letter that addresses your interest in working for us, how participating in this program fits into your career aspirations and what you are hoping to achieve from participating in the graduate program and a description of your role in a project (university or work based) that you have undertaken or participated in that demonstrates your ability to effectively collaborate and communicate;
