Job Description

The Town is currently accepting applications for seasonal summer employment within the Projects and Events Support crew. Reporting to the Foreman, this position will assist with assigned construction and maintenance activities and provide support for community events.

We are seeking a candidate who:

  • Is capable of moderate physical work, including lifting, bending, standing, climbing ladders, and extended periods of movement.
  • Has a strong understanding of hand and power construction tools.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of building materials and construction techniques

Qualifications

Conditions of Employment:

  • C.S.A. steel-toed boots
  • A clean Criminal Records check
  • A Valid Alberta class 5 driver’s license, and a satisfactory driver’s Abstract.
  • Current First Aid certification would be considered a definite asset.

In accordance with the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 955, current Collective Agreement, the starting wage is $21.97 per hour. This position is based on 40 hours per week. Work requirements may dictate a rotational work schedule to include some weekends.  The successful candidate must be willing to work overtime as required. The approximate term of the seasonal employment will be from April 7, 2026, to August 28, 2026.
