The Institute for Biomedicine and Glycomics (IBG) is a world-class research institute committed to solving critical health challenges using cutting-edge genomics, biomedical science, glycomics, and translational research. Working closely with national and international partners, IBG integrates multidisciplinary expertise to improve health outcomes, with a strong commitment to equity, community partnership, and Indigenous health advancement.
We are seeking a Queensland Node Coordinator for the Indigenous Genomics Network, based at the Institute for Biomedicine and Glycomics (IBG). Working under the direction of the Network Operations Manager and Queensland Chief Investigators, you will support the development and implementation of the Queensland jurisdictional node. The role will assist with coordinating community engagement activities, provide administrative support for governance and policy processes, and help deliver capacity-building initiatives across the state.

About you
The successful candidate will hold education, training, and/or experience equivalent to a degree with at least four years relevant experience, and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

You must hold a valid driver’s licence for Queensland as you will be required to undertake intra and interstate travel as required including two days per week at various campuses of Central Queensland University (CQU).
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are strongly encouraged to apply.
What we can offer
This is a fixed term (18 months), full-time position based at Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan) and Central Queensland University. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations. Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full-time base salary for a HEW Level 6 is in the range $91,843 - $97,964 per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation. The total FTE package is in the range $107,456 - $114,618 per annum.
