The Opportunity
At The Kids Research Institute Australia, our
Indigenous Genomics team and their collaborators work towards advancing the
benefits of genomic medicine for Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander people through the Australian Alliance for Indigenous Genomics (ALIGN). ALIGN
is a national network with six jurisdictional nodes. The WA node is based at
The Kids Research Institute Australia in Perth, and has a focus on rare
diseases.
Reporting to the Director of First Nations
Strategy and Leadership and closely working with the ALIGN Operations Manager,
you will contribute to:
A key focus of
this position is to build trusted relationships with our stakeholders,
including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Experience in
working with diverse stakeholder groups is crucial for the successful
candidate.
Based within our
modern offices within the Perth Children’s Hospital in Nedlands, this role will
be offered on a full-time basis until May 2027. Part-time may be considered for
the right candidate.

This position
would suit someone with project management experience and great interpersonal
skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with a wide range of
stakeholders. Additionally, the key to your success will be your
