The team you’ll join:
Our purpose is to partner with Māori organisations and leaders to advance intergenerational aspirations and outcomes grounded in tikanga Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi. We work alongside iwi, hapū, whānau, Māori incorporations, trusts, post‑settlement governance entities and Māori‑owned businesses, supporting them to grow and protect pūtea, taonga, assets and enterprises while upholding kaupapa Māori values.
You will be part of a team where cultural capability is not optional. We expect our people to engage respectfully and confidently in Māori spaces, understand Māori governance contexts, and contribute to strengthening Māori economic and social outcomes. Anchored from our Deloitte Rotorua office and Hourua Pae Rau team supporting clients and communities across New Zealand with a particular focus on iwi and private clients. Our passionate and expert team also administers several Māori incorporations and includes significant representation from Hourua Pae Rau, Deloitte New Zealand’s dedicated Māori services team.
The impact you’ll make:
As a Māori Sector Manager, you will play a leadership role in supporting Māori organisations to grow and protect their pūtea, assets and enterprises for the benefit of whānau, hapū and iwi. You will bring both technical expertise and cultural understanding to your work, helping Māori clients navigate complexity while remaining aligned to their values and aspirations.
This role is suited to someone who is motivated by purpose, comfortable working in Māori governance and leadership contexts, and committed to contributing positively to Māori economic and social outcomes.
