As the Manager, Indigenous Student Success, you will spearhead initiatives that enhance the educational experience for Indigenous students at the University of Melbourne. You will have the opportunity to develop strategic plans, manage a high-performing team, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create a supportive and culturally rich environment. Your role will be pivotal in driving success and engagement among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead Indigenous Student Success Operations: Develop strategic plans, manage budgets, and prepare high-level reports to ensure effective team operations.
Manage and Develop High-Performing Teams: Guide and support a dynamic team, fostering professional growth and autonomy.
Enhance Student Engagement: Oversee initiatives that build strong rapport with Indigenous students and create culturally enriching activities.
Collaborate and Evaluate Programs: Work with Murrup Barak teams, assess program effectiveness, and identify areas for improvement.
You may be a great fit if:
You will have extensive experience in Indigenous education strategy development, team management, and stakeholder engagement, with strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity.
You may also:
Possess a qualification in a relevant field with extensive experience.
Have demonstrated success in developing Indigenous education strategies.
Be skilled in managing high-performing teams and providing guidance.
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Be adept at delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
Hold a current driver's licence for off-campus activities.

Student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation. This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.
