March 31, 2026
Full-time
On-site
Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand

Are you passionate about supporting Māori music creators and helping puoro Māori thrive?

We’re looking for a Kaiāwhina – Māori Member Services Representative to join our ORO and Member Services team in Aotearoa New Zealand. This is a full-time, people-focused role working closely with Māori members of APRA AMCOS and the wider music community.

This role sits at the intersection of member service, relationship building, and kaupapa Māori. You’ll provide high-quality, responsive support to Māori songwriters, composers and music practitioners, while helping create opportunities that support sustainable creative careers and the growth of waiata reo Māori.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Provide consistent, mana-enhancing support to Māori members across enquiries, membership and services
  • Build strong relationships with kaitito waiata, including commercial artists and kapa haka practitioners
  • Support projects, events and initiatives that grow puoro Māori and Māori participation in the music industry
  • Work closely with colleagues across APRA AMCOS to embed Māori values in practice
  • Engage with the wider Māori music ecosystem, including industry organisations and community networks

You’re someone who:

  • Has proficiency in te reo and tikanga Māori, as well as broad iwi networks
  • Brings a strong customer or member service mindset
  • Has excellent communication skills and can build trust-based relationships
  • Is organised, adaptable and comfortable juggling priorities
  • Enjoys working collaboratively while also being able to work autonomously
  • Has an interest in (or connection to) the Māori music community in Aotearoa

At APRA AMCOS, you’ll be part of a collaborative, values-led organisation that champions creativity, equity and inclusion. You’ll work alongside people who care deeply about Māori members, music, and making a meaningful difference.

We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, and especially welcome those who bring lived experience, cultural knowledge, and passion for supporting Māori creators — even if you don’t meet every part of the criteria.

Apply via Bamboo HR by Thursday 23rd April by submitting your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you're the right fit for this role. We're excited to learn more about you!
