About iCONIC 

iCONIC is iON’s flagship cybersecurity conference, an intentionally curated event that brings together practitioners, decision-makers, and trusted partners across various industries to explore today’s most pressing security challenges and the strategies shaping the future of security. 

Designed to foster open dialogue over sales pitches, iCONIC prioritizes peer learning, practical takeaways, and authentic connection. It’s a high-energy, professional event and a great opportunity to learn, network, and get exposure to the cybersecurity ecosystem in Canada. 

Role Overview 

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help support the day-of execution of iCONIC in Toronto. This role is ideal for students or early-career professionals interested in cybersecurity, IT, or tech who want hands-on event experience and meaningful industry exposure. 

You’ll be part of the core event team and help ensure everything runs smoothly for speakers, sponsors, and attendees. 

What You’ll Be Doing 

Depending on the schedule and event needs, responsibilities may include: 

• Guest check-in and registration 

• Coat check and attendee support 

• Helping manage session rooms (checking people in, guiding seating) 

• Assisting speakers and sponsors with logistics 

• Directing attendees and answering basic questions 
• General event support  
  
  

Time Commitment: Approx. 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (exact shifts TBD) 

Type: Volunteer (unpaid) 

Who We’re Looking For 

You might be a great fit if you are: 

• Based in Toronto and able to attend in person 

• A student or early-career professional interested in cybersecurity, IT, or tech 

• Friendly, reliable, and comfortable talking to people 

• Organized and able to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment 

• Interested in learning how professional tech events operate behind the scenes 

No prior event experience required — just a good attitude and willingness to help.
