We’re looking for a volunteer who enjoys a good yarn over a cup of coffee and a few friendly games of cards or dominoes.

A local gentleman would really value some company during a weekday visit — someone to chat with, share a laugh, and maybe enjoy a little friendly competition.

If you like keeping things social, swapping stories, and spending time in good company, this could be a great way to make a difference while having a bit of fun yourself.

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
