What’s the role?

As a Data Engineer, you will support the design, development, and maintenance of data solutions that enable business insights. 

No two days will be the same as you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, assist in building scalable data pipelines, and contribute to testing and release activities.

This role is ideal for someone with foundational knowledge in data engineering and a passion for learning and growing within a dynamic technology environment.

 What will you be doing in the role?

Requirements Analysis & Solution Design

  • Collaborate with business users, technology teams, and suppliers to understand and document business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional and non-functional specifications.

Development & Testing

  • Support the design, development, and testing of data components and systems.
  • Assist in building maintainable and scalable data pipelines using emerging tools and languages.
  • Participate in the development of automated functional and integration test cases.
  • Execute and support automated testing including regression, usability, and security testing.

Agile & DevOps Practices

  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and apply Agile principles to daily work.
  • Support CI/CD and DevSecOps practices to enhance delivery efficiency.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and workshops to improve engineering practices.
  • Consistently apply standards, tools, and methodologies to ensure quality and compliance.

 What skills, qualifications and experience are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in any related field.
  • Basic understanding of data engineering concepts, tools, and languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Spark).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years of software development experience.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience with data integration and ETL tools
