An Emergency Medical Dispatch Support Officer (EMDSO) responds to triple zero (000) calls requesting ambulances across South Australia, assisting South Australians during times of high stress. To achieve best outcomes for patient, an EMDSO must be able to use assertive communication and problem-solving skills to help guide and determine the most appropriate pathway for the patient.Â
The Cadetship Program provides a culturally safe and supportive framework to assist you to successfully perform the role of EMDSO with SAAS, whilst undertaking supported study and workplace orientation.Â
