Make an impact with our Indigenous Services Capital Projects & Infrastructure Consulting team as an Assistant Project Manager. This diverse team of professionals are dedicated to exceeding clients’ unique needs within a rapidly evolving business and financial reporting landscape. MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm for Indigenous Nations, businesses, and entrepreneurs in Canada. With more than 250 Indigenous clients and 500 team members dedicated to this sector, no other firm has invested as much time and resources into serving the unique needs of Indigenous communities.

Responsibilities

  • Propose, plan and deliver owner’s representative consulting engagements specializing in capital and infrastructure projects
  • Develop project plans and coordinate project logistics with clients and other rightsholders 
  • Assist with budget and financial management to ensure adherence to funding constraints and requirements
  • Design, develop, format and proofread professional reports, proposals, presentations, funding applications and client communications
  • Attend and/or facilitate project meetings, documenting action items and key decisions to develop client relationships and ensure the delivery of exceptional client service
  • Demonstrate an understanding and respect for Indigenous cultures, traditions, and governance structures, integrating these considerations into project planning and execution
  • Willingness to travel to rural and remote locations, adapting to diverse project demands

Skills and Experience

  • Technical Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field
  • Minimum three years of experience managing or coordinating capital or infrastructure projects as an Owners Representative/Project Manager, including planning, design, or delivery phases. *Equivalent experience in construction, engineering, architecture, or community development is acceptable
  • Excellent communication skills across written, verbal, and facilitation formats, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and build positive relationships in a professional environment
  • Experience working on construction sites/with construction contractors is an asset
  • Demonstrated project management skills, Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset
  • Experience in working with Indigenous communities or organizations is an asset
