Assistant Professor Indigenous Language Reclamation And Cree Language Tenure Track Position   The First Nations University of Canada invites applications for a tenure track position as an Indigenous Language Reclamation and Cree Language Assistant Professor. This position may be based at any of FNUniv’s campuses, with a preference for the Prince Albert Campus.   This opportunity will appeal to those passionate about Indigenous language revitalization and reclamation, who enjoy teaching from an Indigenous perspective in intimate and interactive learning environments. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of future Indigenous language educators, researchers, and advocates by teaching both advanced Cree language courses and Indigenous language reclamation courses.   The First Nations University of Canada (FNUniv) provides an opportunity for students of all nations to learn in an environment grounded in First Nations cultures and values. Our core values include wisdom, respect, humility, sharing, harmony, beauty, strength, and spirituality.   Duties and Qualifications:   Teach a range of Cree language and Indigenous language reclamation courses, including higher level classes; Develop and deliver community-based and land-based language learning experiences; Engage in research and scholarship related to Indigenous language reclamation, revitalization, and second language acquisition; Contribute to curriculum development in Cree language, Indigenous language education, and reclamation methodologies; Participate in community service and outreach supporting Indigenous language initiatives.   Requirements Fluency in the Cree language, including both oracy and literacy; A completed PhD in Indigenous Languages, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
