Description

Civeo are looking for an Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) to ensure the day to day site Aerodrome operations are delivered safely and successfully. 

The ARO role has a significant safety component and is responsible for inspecting the aerodrome and reporting hazards. You’ll be required to utilise your knowledge of aircraft schedules to identify any potential problems associated with the movement of vehicles and obstacle restriction areas. In addition to this you will assist with baggage handling, runway inspections, provide aircraft ground support, and other general administration activities.

THE ROLE – Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO)

Salary: $78,925 + 12% Superannuation
8:6 Roster (live/work on-site for 8 Days, 12‑hour days, followed by 6 Days at home)
Fly from Perth, then transfer to one of our regional aerodrome sites
• Join a skilled and energetic operations team ensuring the safe and compliant operation of the aerodrome
• As an Aerodrome Reporting Officer, you will be responsible for conducting inspections, ensuring regulatory compliance, reporting hazards, monitoring weather conditions, and maintaining operational safety across all airside areas

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct daily aerodrome and runway inspections in accordance with CASA and MOS 139 requirements
• Report and document hazards, defects, NOTAMs, and operational changes
• Monitor and record weather observations
• Ensure compliance with airside safety procedures and regulatory standards
• Support emergency response procedures when required
• Liaise with contractors, pilots, and internal stakeholders to maintain efficient operations
• Assist with general aerodrome maintenance and upkeep of operational areas

ABOUT YOU

  • Current Aerodrome Reporting Officer Skill Set (AVISS00053)
  • (AROC) Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate
  • Dangerous Goods Certificate 
  • Valid manual driver’s license;
  • Previous FIFO experience is highly regarded
  • On-Site ARO experience with a refueling skill set certification highly regarded
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and good time management skills
  • Flexible and willing to assist in other departments on site if required
  • Forklift ticket is highly desirable
  •  Able to pass a pre-employment medical and meet the physical demands of working in remote condition
