Set up equipment and supplies to be able to make tea/coffee for those using the refreshment centre
Serve tea/coffee to the public
Pack up all equipment and supplies at the end of event, ensuring that all rubbish is moved to the designated area for council removal
Act as a representative for Red Cross
What do I need to bring?
Wear closed-in, comfortable shoes
Wear comfortable clothing (keep in mind it may get dirty)
Personal sun protective gear (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)
Own dietary-specific snacks if required
We recommend bringing a water bottle to limit single-use plastic.
Gloves and hand sanitiser will be provided, or you can bring your own.
The ImpactRed Cross has been providing this free service for many years, with feedback on how appreciative people are to have a quiet place to sit, enjoy a cup of tea and catch up with their mates during this important commemoration.
