    About the Position
    -This is a Certificated Tutoring Lead position for the Native American Education Program during the current 2025-26 school year ONLY.
    -Tutoring sessions are scheduled to run two (2) Saturdays a month, but could be expanded.
    -While applications will be accepted from both internal and external applicants, preference will be given to internal applicants.
    -Preference will also be given to applicants with an ELL, ESOL, or Bilingual endorsement.

    Hourly position paid via timesheet:
    -$30.80 per hour.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
    -Monthly check-ins with Native American Education Program Specialist.
    -Provide updates and information about students and their progress to the Native American Education Program, as necessary.
    -Track student attendance and progress, in collaboration with the Native American Education Program Specialist.
    -Lead tutoring support provided, including leading the work of volunteers who support the tutoring program.
    -Organize and coordinate materials needed for tutoring services.

    Key Information/Dates
    -Saturdays, twice monthly (this could be shifted to another weekend day and/or scheduled to accommodate the schedule of the selected candidate).
    -Program would begin no later than November 2025.
    -Tutoring location will be held within the Edmonds School District boundaries, and will be at the same location each week.

    Required Qualifications:  
    Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate, or the ability to obtain one prior to the position start date.

    While fulfilling the responsibilities of this job, the employee is expected to navigate various school and classroom environments.  The role may involve assisting students who need physical support or exhibit challenging behaviors.  The role requires communicating with others regularly.  Tasks may include frequent manual work using hands or fingers, as well as occasional reaching, bending, or twisting.  The position may require moving objects regularly weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.  Visual requirements include performing close-range tasks and adjusting focus as necessary.
